Why should you trust me during one of the most important and difficult times in your life?
You deserve an attorney who cares.
Helping the injured and disabled is my calling, not just a career.
I was born into a blue-collar family. I saw the devastating effects that a work injury can have on close family members.
I graduated from an elite east coast college. While my classmates jockeyed for jobs on Wall Street or lounged on their trust funds, I worked summers as a Pipefitter in some of the dirtiest and most dangerous facilities in the country – Oil Refineries, Tank Farms, Nuclear Plants, and buildings full of asbestos.
After graduation, I worked as a Pipeliner, and then became a Union Organizer with the Service Employees’ International Union (SEIU). I would put in 100 hours/week leading nurses, nurse aides and other medical professionals so they could stand up for their rights.
I then went on to Capitol Hill where I spent many years representing Plumbers, Pipefitters, Electricians, Teamsters and all the other building and construction trades. I stood up to powerful interests and fought for the rights of all working men and women on the Hill, in the White House, and in the Administrative Agencies.
Disgusted with the corruption in Washington, D.C., and wanting to start a family, I returned to the Midwest. The University of Minnesota Law School, one of the top public law schools in the country, awarded me a Dean’s Scholarship all three years. I served on the Minnesota Journal of Law, Science & Technology, becoming an Editor in my final year, all while raising my twins who were born while I was still in school.
I started McCartin Law Firm in 2021, because I wanted to provide the highest caliber of representation to the injured and disabled, and that is what I do. day in and day out.
Every person’s circumstances are different. If you are looking for an attorney that is going to put your needs first and foremost and empower you to make the best decisions for you and your family, I’m your attorney.
When I’m not fighting for injured and disabled workers in the Federal Courthouse or in St. Paul, you’ll find me in a hockey rink or as far from civilization as possible – paddling, fishing, hunting or foraging.
If you want the best representation on your case, you owe it to yourself to call me first.
-Joseph McCartin, Attorney at Law
